Let me help somebody today:
Don't confuse anger with passion and don't allow others to categorize your passion(s) incorrectly. The Bible says “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength” – Mark 12:30. That requires passion. If they confuse your zeal for God as anything other than your love for Him and the things that He loves it's okay...He knows your heart. Do you have a passion for God? Here’s another way to ask this question: “Is God your first love?” A “big” passion for God means that every fiber of our being is drawn to God and given to God. Passion is defined in Webster’s Dictionary as an intense, driving, or overmastering feeling or conviction; a strong liking, desire for, or devotion; ardent affection; love. Don't allow anybody or anything derail you from the strong convictions that He has placed on the inside of you. What He has placed on the inside of you is unique and can never be duplicated by anyone. Therefore always keep the correct perspective and remember that Christ died for us while we were yet sinners. There is no greater love than to lay your life down for another person. That's passion. When you learn how passionate God is about you it should ignite a passion on the inside of you to accomplish every purpose that God has put on the inside of you from before you were even placed in your mothers womb - refer to Jeremiah 1:5. ("Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.") Allow God's passion to ignite your passion. If you don't stand for something you'll fall for anything. If you're ashamed of the Gospel of Christ in this dispensation He will be ashamed of you when you stand before God the Father. Be blessed and remember be passionate! ................................................. Apostle Dr. Larry Birchett, Jr. Harvest House Restoration Center Genesis 25
29 And Jacob boiled pottage; and Esau came from the field, and he was faint. 30 And Esau said to Jacob, “Feed me, I pray thee, with that same red pottage, for I am faint”; therefore was his name called Edom. 31 And Jacob said, “Sell me this day thy birthright.” 32 And Esau said, “Behold, I am at the point of dying. And what profit shall this birthright be to me?” 33 And Jacob said, “Swear to me this day.” And he swore unto him, and he sold his birthright unto Jacob. 34 Then Jacob gave Esau bread and pottage of lentils; and he ate and drank, and rose up and went his way. Thus Esau despised his birthright. Whatever you respect, you will protect! Don't, like Esau, sell your anointing and position in God for instant gratitude and cheap temporary thrills. The primary thing that separates good leaders from the average is vision. A person with vision will always focus on things in the long run, or what is commonly called the "big picture.". Place your hope in things eternal beloved! Heaven is counting on you. Respect YOUR anointing dear one! God has blessed all of us (believers) with a measure of the anointing in the same way that we have all been blessed with a measure of faith. Your ability to tap into the power of God depends on your ability to live a consecrated, holy, and pure life full of faith and the fruit to prove it. Esau was the first born and was the next in line after Issac to lead the family into the future. He gave it up for a stew. He literally said to himself what does my title and position mean to anybody? I'm not going to act my age. I'm not going to show the maturity that I'm supposed to be showing. All I want is what I want and I want to satisfy myself now! All of this is basically what Esau did. He couldn't endure a little bit of pain that would eventually be satisfied anyway. Pain is a good indicator of that you are on God's ordained path for your life. No pain, no gain! God had already prophecised that he would wind up serving his YOUNGER brother. And we understand that God had selected in this way because he knew that Esau didn't have the CHARACTER that was necessary to fulfill the esteemed position and ultimately God's purpose. Esau was the bigger stronger brother who could hunt etc. but God showed Esau and all of us that He doesn't judge by the outside, He judges by what's on your inside. What's on your inside? Are your secret motives, thoughts, and desires pleasing to God? To anoint means to smear or rub with oil. The Old Testament definition meant to apply or pour oil upon a person or even an object. Old Testament example: Psalms 92:10 says "But Thou has exalted my horn like that of the wild ox; I have been anointed with fresh oil." New Testament example: Acts 10:38 reads as such "...God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him!" God had ordained that Jacob and Esau would produce nations and trust assured that He has ordained something special to come out of your life. Get closer to God and deepen your relationship with Him to determine your purpose. The supernatural enablement that He has giving you is to be used for the Kingdom. Only you have it in the way that you have it. Don't disrespect the giver of your gifts by not using them and by not protecting them as something valuable. PROTECT your anointing because your purpose is contained within. Blessings! Pastor Larry Birchett, Jr. Psalm 124
1.) If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, now may Israel say; 2.) If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, when men rose up against us: 3.) Then they had swallowed us up quick, when their wrath was kindled against us: 4.) Then the waters had overwhelmed us, the stream had gone over our soul: 5.) Then the proud waters had gone over our soul. 6.) Blessed be the LORD, who hath not given us as a prey to their teeth. 7.) Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped. 8.) Our help is in the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth. Never listen to the negative thoughts or suggestions that God is not in your corner. I'd like to submit to you today that God has been caring for you your whole life. In fact if He wasn't "seeing" about you this whole time most of you wouldn't even be still living today. Resist the devil (and all of his negative and depressing suggestions) and he will flee. ~ James 4:7 God loves you beloved and He will take care of all of your enemies and those that would condemn you. Keep your trust firmly in God! God I'm so glad that no matter what you're always on my side! If you're still living then God is on your side. It's another day to give Him praise. It's another day to get it right. God is great! And He's on your side. Let's draw closer to Him. Don't squander the "treasures" that is waiting for you in Heaven. Your mouth can cause you to forfeit any "good" that you're doing or have done. Consider the Word of God:
Matthew 6:2-4,21 2) Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. 3) But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth: 4) That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly. 21) For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. Remember, humility comes before honor. Let your blessings of others be done discreetly. God will honor you and you will lay up for yourself many treasures in heaven. If you're doing it for the acceptance and approval of people you already have your reward. Don't speak too much, it's not impressive it just shows your motivation. A little spirit check for all of us on today. Seek His heart and not His hand. Be blessed. Pastor Larry Birchett, Jr. |
